Paycalia publishes salary, tax and mortgage calculators for France, the United Kingdom, Germany and the United States. Our aim: results that are accurate, explained and verifiable by anyone.
Built on official sources
Every rate, threshold and band comes from an official source: HMRC and gov.uk for the UK; the IRS, the Social Security Administration and each state’s tax department for the US; Urssaf and the French tax administration for France; the German Federal Ministry of Finance and the Deutsche Rentenversicherung for Germany. All sources are cited on the Methodology & sources pages.
Checked by automated tests
Every calculation engine is covered by automated tests run on each change. For German wage tax we run the Federal Ministry of Finance’s official program and compare our results with the reference cases of its test interface: all match to the cent.
Updates
Rates are reviewed whenever a law or an inflation adjustment changes them, and at least once a year. The date of the last check is shown under the title of every calculator.
Independence and privacy
We do not sell financial products or take commissions from lenders or insurers. The site is free and may be funded by advertising, which never influences the calculations. The figures you enter stay in your browser and are never sent to us.
Report an error
If a result differs from your payslip or an official table, email [email protected] with the page and the figures you entered. Every report is checked and, if confirmed, corrected.
